I have loved maps since I was a child when I received a thick leather-bound atlas as a gift.
I currently work in municipal government.
I have a BA with majors in History, Latin, and Spanish, with post graduate work in Linguistics. A decade ago I shifted career paths, working in Municipal Assessing, and finding my true love in GIS. I completed a Masters in Geographic Information Technology at Northeastern University, as well as a Master's Certification in Public Administration from Suffolk University in a program sponsored by the Mass Municipal Association.
My strength is in municipal data. I know where the data comes from, how it gets entered into different database systems, where the data flaws may be, and how it all interconnects within various departments.
